Job summary

General Atomics is seeking an Avionics Technician for its Aero Services division to support MQ-9 operations. The role is deployable with OCONUS travel and a FLEX schedule, requiring work at various locations and adherence to technical orders and procedures.

You will install, configure, and maintain UAV electronic equipment including GCS, data terminals, and related systems, and train customers as needed.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency plus 2+ years in aviation or electronics; equivalent professional experience may substitute education.
• Capable of performing a variety of non-routine tasks and applying technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operates UAVs, ground control stations and related equipment at operation locations.
• Analyzes customer requirements and ensures product implementation meets specs.
• Provides installation, configuration, and repair support to customers at locations.
• Performs troubleshooting and repair of ground and airborne electronic equipment.
• Repairs or replaces components based on tests, schematics, and instructions.
• Performs installation and testing of computer hardware, software and networked systems.
• Maintains documentation and records as required.
