Job summary

General Atomics seeks an Avionics Technician for the Aero Services division supporting the MQ-9. This deployable role requires OCONUS travel and a FLEX schedule with the ability to live at any location.

Under supervision, you will install, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain UAV electronics, ground control stations and related equipment while ensuring compliance with specs and orders. Training may be provided to customers.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency with 2+ years aviation/electronics experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot at the component level and read blueprints/schematics.
• DoD security clearance required; certifications desirable (A+/Network+/Security+).

Responsibilities

• Operate UAVs, ground control stations and ground support equipment at locations.
• Troubleshoot and repair ground and airborne electronic equipment as required.
• Install, configure and test computer hardware, software and networked systems.
• Analyze customer requirements and ensure product implementations meet specs.
• Maintain records and verify accuracy of technical documents and procedures.
• Provide guidance and training to customers on equipment use.
