Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Operations Support Technician in Springfield, VA on a full-time, onsite basis to support a DoD customer’s Personnel Recovery mission. The role emphasizes fielding deployable capabilities, managing RF systems, and coordinating training and testing worldwide.

Responsibilities include developing TTPs, performing maintenance and troubleshooting, and briefing capability requirements to stakeholders, with strong emphasis on security and coordination with interagency partners.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility; US citizenship required.
• Experience with radio frequencies (RF), airborne sensors, and GPS.
• Experience deploying and operating RF sensors.
• Experience with operational utility evaluation of capabilities.
• 5+ years in Personnel Recovery or related military experience.
• Operational deployment experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fielding and managing deployable PR capabilities.
• Maintain and operate mobile RF equipment, both on the ground and aboard aviation platforms.
• Coordinate and participate in realistic training scenarios, exercises, and testing of RF devices and other capabilities worldwide.
• Develop training, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) associated with PR capabilities.
• Conduct recurring maintenance inspections, configuration, operational testing, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Serve as property custodian, maintaining accountability of assets.
• Prepare routine correspondence, operator support plans, training guides, exercise plans, security plans, and draft capability requirements.
• Conduct capability briefs for COCOM and interagency stakeholders.
