Job summary

Amentum invites qualified professionals to join a mission-focused team in Springfield, VA as an Operations Support Specialist supporting a Department of War customer. You will help field deployable capabilities, ensure readiness, and support testing and training across CONUS/OCONUS locations.

The role requires active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, experience with RF systems, and personnel recovery operations, plus strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with Radio Frequencies, Airborne Sensors, and Global Positioning Systems.
• Experience with the operational deployment and employment of RF sensors.
• Experience with exercise planning and training support.
• 5+ years’ experience in Personnel Recovery or related military experience.
• Operational deployment experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a structured team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in PR equipment, processes, procedures and devices.
• Deploy and operate mobile RF equipment on ground and aviation platforms.
• Coordinate and participate in training scenarios and exercises testing RF devices.
• Assist in developing training, TTPs and capabilities requirements.
• Maintain readiness of PR capabilities and support equipment.
• Prepare operator support plans, training guides, and security plans.
• Coordinate capabilities briefs for COCOM and interagency stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with community partners/customers.
• Participate in seminars and meetings on emerging technologies for PR.
• Plan and support test events, exercises, and evaluations.
• Provide initial and refresher training on equipment use.
• Provide technical support/advice on PR equipment to customers.
