Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to design, fabricate, test, and maintain advanced RF and electronic systems in Springfield, VA. You will collaborate with engineers and government customers while handling prototype fabrication, testing, and field sustainment.

The role emphasizes developing hardware, writing technical docs, and supporting system integration with analytical troubleshooting skills. Onsite work, with travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 4+ years in electronics, RF, or EE support.
• Experience designing RF antennas and PCBs.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and embedded C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, assemble, test, and troubleshoot RF and electronic systems.
• Design RF antennas for specialized bands and requirements.
• Create schematics and multilayer PCBs using CAD tools.
• Program and debug embedded microcontrollers (C/C++, Arduino, STM32, ESP32).
• Perform precision SMT soldering and PCB rework per IPC standards.
• Tune RF components using spectrum analyzers and VNAs.
• Develop RF subsystems and embedded sensors for hardware.
