Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) in Palmdale, CA is seeking an entry level A&P Mechanic. Under close supervision, you provide flight line and ground support, troubleshoot, repair, and service aircraft and engine systems.

The role supports CONUS and OCONUS deployments, and is not a FLEX position. You will perform inspections, assist with maintenance, document procedures, and participate in engine and airframe checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of aircraft mechanical maintenance experience.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred.
• Willingness to travel CONUS/OCONUS as needed.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills; independent yet team‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and oversight in mechanical and inspection work.
• Assist in scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
• Assist in inspecting powerplant and related components.
• Assist in repairing fuel leaks, oil leaks, and engine problems.
• Assist in removal and replacement of airframe and/or engine components.
• Document all work per procedures and orders.
