Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking an A&P Mechanic to support Test Operations at Flight Operations Facilities in Gray Butte (Palmdale) or El Mirage (Adelanto), Southern California.

You will service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain unmanned aircraft systems and ground support equipment, perform preflight and postflight tasks, and support flight test activities for MQ-1C Gray Eagle, MQ-9A Reaper, MQ-9B SkyGuardian, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two+ years of aircraft mechanical maintenance experience.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License is desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain aircraft and ground support equipment for test operations.
• Support test teams for development efforts and perform airframe/powerplant work.
• Troubleshoot systems to identify problems and develop corrective actions.
• Assist in training for customers and perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
• Review records to ensure documentation meets government and company procedures.
• Conduct launch/recovery tasks and postflight data collection as required.
