General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), a leader in remotely piloted aircraft and surveillance systems, is seeking an A&P Mechanic for Production Manufacturing at Gray Butte (Palmdale) or El Mirage (Adelanto) in Southern California.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License is desired.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance is required.
• General knowledge of job details and related procedures.
• Familiarity with computer applications and general office tools.
• Basic leadership, organization and planning skills.
• Strong written and spoken communication; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support production teams to meet manufacturing schedules and quality standards.
• Perform work on airframe and powerplant during production assembly and final acceptance activities.
• Troubleshoot aircraft and engine systems during production testing to resolve issues before delivery.
• Develop and review manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Assist in training production personnel and customers.
• Perform scheduled production inspections and functional checks.
• Inspect powerplant and related components during assembly and at key milestones.
• Review records to ensure proper documentation per procedures and technical orders.
• Handle launch and recovery tasks during production acceptance flights and postflight checks.
• Maintain a productive and safe working environment according to procedures.
