Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Department Support Assistant - Postpartum in Evanston, IL. This part-time role (24 hours/week) includes shift rotations and weekend/holiday coverage. You will handle front desk duties, welcome patients, manage mail, and support the department with supplies and documentation.

We value strong customer service, familiarity with Microsoft Office, basic medical terminology, and prior hospital exposure. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year hospital experience preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other department related systems.
• Highest level of customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides front desk coverage including answering and directing calls.
• Greets patients and family members and provides assistance as needed.
• Collects and distributes department mail.
• Monitors and orders supplies, submits work orders, and collates documents.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Department Support Assistant - Postpartum
• Location: Evanston, IL
• Part time: 24 hours/week
• Hours: 1500-2330 and 2300-0730 with weekend and holiday rotation
• Required Travel: No

What you will do

• Provides front desk coverage which includes answering and directing incoming calls
• Greeting patients and family members and provide assistance as needed
• Collecting and distributing department mail
• Performs related general duties such as monitoring and ordering supplies, submitting work orders, collating and assembling documents

What you will need

• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other department related systems
• Highest level of customer service skills
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Minimum of one year hospital experience preferred
• High School Degree required
• BLS (from American Heart Association) required
