Endeavor Health Clinical Operations is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Postpartum Unit in Evanston, IL. This full-time role requires 32 hours per week with a 2300-0730 schedule including weekend rotation.

The PCT will float to units as needed and work under the supervision of a registered nurse to deliver patient care on the Antepartum unit. Required duties include assisting with vital signs, EKGs, and catheters, supporting care plans, and contributing to safety and high-quality

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.

• Assist RN with patient care on the Antepartum unit.
• Assist with vital signs, 12-Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley removal, and sterile specimen collection.
• Bathing, turning, hourly rounding, feeding, admissions/discharges, and prep for discharge as delegated by RN.
• Assist with implementing patient care plans and participate in essential unit activities.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position: Patient Care Technician - Postpartum Unit

Location: Evanston, IL

Full Time: 32 hours /week

Hours: 2300-0730 will include weekend rotation

Float: Will float to units throughout Evanston Hospital if needed

What you will do:

Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care on the Antepartum unit Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

Education: Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course preferred or Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred Certification: Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association Experience: Inpatient PCT or maternal child health experience preferred Unique or Preferred Skills: Inpatient PCT or maternal child health experience preferred
