Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Department Manager to join the Store Management Team in Oklahoma. You will support our culture, assist customers, supervise team members, and stay involved in sales while coaching associates and leading training to meet department and store goals.

Responsibilities include supervising associates, handling open/close duties, resolving customer issues, managing returns, and driving profit while ensuring safety and policy compliance across the store.

• Proven ability to drive results, develop talent, excel in customer service and exercise sound decision making.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cavender’s Culture and drive Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Be able to perform the tasks of a Cashier, Sales Associate and Key Carrier.
• Maintain active role in personal selling, meeting or exceeding sales per hour goals.
• Act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
• Assist in day-to-day management of the retail store and supervise associates to deliver Best of the WEST customer service and drive sales.
• Open and close store as directed.
• Address customer complaints; handle returns and exchanges.
• Assist in increasing sales, maintaining profit, and reducing expenses using key metrics.
• Lead training of store associates on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Ensure the store looks clean and presented; set clear expectations for appearance.
• Understand and execute company policies and procedures; ensure departmental compliance.
• Participate in Loss Prevention measures; lead and support team members to deliver great customer service.
• Track department performance and contribute to store goals for sales, payroll, and customer experience.
