Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Starbucks Department Manager in New Jersey to oversee daily department operations, drive customer service excellence, and ensure food safety and program compliance. You will lead hiring, training, and development of associates, manage inventory, and support sales and budgeting in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes a customer-first culture, strong communication, and collaboration with store teams and partners to deliver consistent experiences

Qualifications

Experience in managing a Starbucks or retail department preferred.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
Flexible availability including opening, closing, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily department operations with strong customer service and consistency.
Support hiring, training, coaching, and development of associates.
Maintain a customer-first environment and address service needs.
Coordinate daily activities to support workflow and service levels.
Stay calm during high-volume periods and maintain operations.
Execute company and Starbucks programs, policies and procedures.
Ensure food safety, sanitation and product handling standards.
Manage ordering, inventory, and product rotation.
Support department sales, budgeting, and expense management.
Maintain communication with vendors, store management and community partners.
Complete required reporting and administrative tasks.
