Job summary

SiteOne Landscape Supply is seeking a Department Manager for the Agronomics line to lead branch customer engagements and drive departmental excellence. You will work closely with customers and branch leadership to ensure top-notch service and product knowledge across agronomic offerings.

The role emphasizes safety, team development, and collaboration to meet sales goals while adopting new technologies and processes. This is a full-time on-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in the green industry or agronomic products preferred.
• Excellent customer service and management skills required.
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting.
• Understanding of debits/credits, AR/AP and budgets helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager with sales and operations planning, forecast demand, and align supply with demand.
• Promote an incident-free environment by emphasizing safety daily and lead by example.
• Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training and policy execution.
• Understand and apply inventory management, target customer mix and sales principles.
• Create a positive environment that encourages teamwork aligned with SiteOne DNA.
• Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable about products and customer needs.
• Partner with branch leadership to implement new technologies and improve business performance.
• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.

Position Overview

Our Department Managers take the lead as the Agronomics expert in the branch, working closely with customers on any or all needs within the department to ensure excellence.

What you’ll do:

• Assist Branch Manager with the sales and operations planning process, statistical demand forecasting, and integration of supply and demand plans.
• Promote an incident-free environment by emphasizing safety daily through leading by example.
• Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training and execution of policies.
• Understand and execute the principles of inventory management, target customer mix and sales.
• Create a positive environment for employees which encourages teamwork in alignment with SiteOne DNA.
• Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable of the Agronomics product line and customer needs to support achievement of departmental sales goals.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.

Skills We Are Seeking

• 1-3 years of experience in the green industry and an understanding of agronomic or lawn care maintenance products, preferred
• Excellent customer service and management skills
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals; including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable and budgets.
• Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
• For Internal Candidates Only: Line of Business (LOB) Certification Level I or higher, preferred
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• High school diploma or equivalent
