Department Manager – Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management; set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results.
• Oversee the Guest Service, Kitchen, and People Departments to ensure quality service, food safety, and excellent staffing.
• Guarantee that crew and managers deliver a great customer experience, that sales promotions are executed effectively, and that all staff are trained in service procedures.
• Ensure the Front Counter McCafé and Drive‑Thru areas are organized for optimal service.
• Maintain high‑quality, fast food delivery while controlling food cost and ensuring safety; train kitchen staff in production procedures for existing and new menu items.
• Hire, train, and schedule qualified crew to meet restaurant sales and profit goals; recognize and motivate crew throughout their employment.

Qualifications

• Previous managerial experience preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and a passion for working in a fast‑paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to hold a management position in corporate‑owned restaurants.
