Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Department Lead to drive efficient operations in your assigned department. You will oversee inventory, pricing, merchandising, and customer service to uphold high standards and a positive shopping experience.

You will coordinate with teams to ensure accurate stock, sign placement, and planogram compliance while promoting safety and cleanliness. The role requires flexibility with hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of specific department.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to listen, ask questions, and provide articulate responses.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
• Strong problem‑solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain displays and standards.
• Monitor inventory with regular stock checks and replenishment.
• Oversee recovery to keep department neat and appealing.
• Coordinate price changes and update labels and signage.
• Manage playbook feature implementations and planogram sets.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department.
• Provide customer service and assist with inquiries and product location.
• Support front-end tasks including transactions as required.
• Operate retail equipment and handheld devices.
• Cross-train across departments and participate in training programs.
• Engage in continuous improvement and uphold Rural King values.
