Job summary

Position Summary

The Department Lead, Operations is a hands‑on operational team member responsible for supporting daily production activities within an assigned functional area. This role serves as a working lead who helps coordinate workflows, provides floor‑level guidance, supports training activities, and assists the Supervisor, Operations in achieving productivity, quality, safety, and customer service objectives.

The Department Lead actively participates in operational work while serving as a resource for team members, helping resolve routine issues, monitoring workflow progress, and communicating operational concerns to the Supervisor.

Operational Execution

• Perform daily production, processing, inventory, recycling, refurbishment, or logistics activities.
• Assist with coordinating workflow and task assignments.
• Monitor work progress and production goals.
• Support material movement and inventory transactions.
• Assist in troubleshooting routine operational issues.

Team Support & Coordination

• Provide day-to-day guidance to team members.
• Assist with onboarding and training.
• Help ensure employees understand priorities and targets.
• Promote teamwork and accountability.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Follow and promote all company safety policies.
• Monitor compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
• Identify safety concerns and process deviations.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Provide work direction and operational guidance.
• Support training, coaching, and development.
• Serve as backup during Supervisor absences.
