Job summary

Elder is seeking a Retail Associate to support daily store operations, assist customers, and manage displays in the Murfreesboro store. You will unload trucks, restock shelves, and handle special orders while maintaining accurate records and data.

Bilingual Spanish communication is strongly preferred to serve a diverse customer base. Candidates should have up to one year of retail experience, proficiency with store software, and a proactive approach to tasks, teamwork, and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of retail experience.
• Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
• Bilingual Spanish verbal and written communication strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise as directed by management.
• Execute daily operational goals/priorities set by store manager.
• Restock merchandise displays and monitor end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for non-stock items.
• Respond to radio requests and assist customers.
• Take initiative and assume responsibility to complete tasks thoroughly.
• Interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Monitor for shoplifters and act per Elder policy to discourage theft.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management).Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned by store manager move with your “Ace Pace”.Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.Handle special orders for all non-stock items.Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting.Excellent customer service and interaction prevents shoplifting.Respond to radio requests.Other duties as assigned.High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.Interact with staff at all levels of the organization.Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company’s insurance carrier’s standards.
