Job summary

Elder's ACE Hardware in N GA (Varnell/Dalton area) seeks a customer-focused associate to support daily store operations, restock shelves, handle special orders, and assist customers. You will unload trucks, monitor displays, and ensure pricing accuracy, working under store management guidance.

The role prefers 6 months to 1 year in retail, HS diploma or GED, and Spanish bilingual abilities to enhance customer interactions. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail experience 6 months to 1 year.
• Bilingual Spanish (preferred) for verbal and written comms.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks and stock merchandise as directed.
• Execute daily store operations per store manager instructions.
• Remove promotional bin tags and price tags as required.
• Restock displays, monitor end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for non-stock items.
• Respond to radio requests and assist customers.
• Watch for shoplifters and act per Elder’s policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Details

Job Location: N GA - Varnell - Dalton, GA 30721

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management).
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned by store manager move with your “Ace Pace”.
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting.
• Excellent customer service and interaction prevents shoplifting.
• Respond to radio requests.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
• Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
• Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
• Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.
• Interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.
• Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company’s insurance carrier’s standards.
