Job summary

Elder is seeking a retail associate to unload trucks, stock shelves, and maintain department organization. You will assist customers with prompt service and handle non-stock orders, contributing to a clean and well-presented store environment.

The role requires 6–12 months of retail experience, with preferred hardware familiarity and bilingual Spanish communication. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of retail experience.
• Hardware experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks and stock shelves as directed by management.
• Maintain your assigned department: keep it clean, organized and fully stocked.
• Restock merchandise displays, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Respond to radio requests and communicate with team.
• Watch for shoplifters and act per Elder’s policy to discourage theft.

Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management).Maintain your assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked.Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned to you and move with your “Ace Pace”.Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.Handle special orders for all non-stock items.Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting.Respond to radio requests.Other duties as assigned.Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience, hardware experience preferred.Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired.A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays.Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.
