Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Department Assistant to join our pediatric care team. You will perform clerical tasks, answer calls, and support scheduling and patient flow across the department.

The role requires a high school diploma, familiarity with medical terminology, 3–5 years of administrative experience, and Epic software knowledge. You will enter orders, manage reports, and coordinate with technologists to ensure smooth operations across PACS and patient services.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Shriners Children’s is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Department Assistant to join our team.

• Support the team through performing clerical functions such as notifying manager to order supplies and support the department.
• Answer the department phone.
• Manage scheduled order report.
