Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Clinical Systems Analyst I to participate in health care information system implementations and testing. You will work with clinical departments, assist with end-user training, and help develop documentation to ensure systems are used as designed.

The role requires collaboration across Pharmacy Leadership, with a hybrid schedule and one day onsite weekly at Main Campus, while residency in Northeast Ohio is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or equivalent.
  • One year of hospital or major medical center clinical experience.
  • One year of experience supporting a major clinical information system.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical theory and practice.
  • Licensure in a medically related field (RN, CPHT, CMT, MT or EMT-P).
  • Familiar with healthcare regulatory processes.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Technical certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with end-users to define problems and provide implementation support.
  • Coordinate and conduct education and end-user training programs for proper system use.
  • Assist with development of end-user documentation for reference.
  • Support system projects through all phases of the SDLC under Pharmacy Leadership.
  • Perform program management and analyst functions, including tracking systems and metrics.
  • Run, generate and analyze reports and dashboards.
  • Extract and analyze large datasets to support decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve programs and services.
  • Conduct audits to support regulatory compliance and assist pharmacy operations.
  • Provide reporting and analytical support for pharmacy programs and operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Clinical Systems Analyst I, you will participate in the implementation of health care information systems. In this role, you will assist with developing and testing application functionality, participate in project teams and collaborate with clinical departments to complete clinical system implementations. You will also assist with training programs related to automated systems.

A caregiver in this role works a hybrid schedule from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with one day per week onsite at Main Campus. To be considered for this position, candidates must reside locally in Northeast Ohio (NEO).

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Interact with end-users to assist with problem definition and provide implementation support.

  • Coordinate and conduct education and end-user training programs to ensure systems are utilized as designed.

  • Assist with development of end-user documentation that provides clear, concise reference information.

  • With direction from Pharmacy Leadership, provide implementation assistance for system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle.

  • Perform program management and analyst functions, including tracking systems, metrics and operational performance.

  • Run, generate and analyze reports and dashboards.

  • Extract and analyze large datasets to support operational decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities for service and program optimization and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct audits and support regulatory compliance.

  • Support pharmacy programs, including procurement, controlled substance management and inventory management.

  • Provide reporting and analytical support for pharmacy operations and programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • (Additional relevant years of experience may offset Bachelor's Degree)

  • One year of applicable hospital or major medical center clinical experience

  • OR one year of recent experience supporting a major clinical information system

  • In depth knowledge of clinical theory and practice

  • License in a medically related field such as nursing (RN), pharmacy technician (CPHT), medical assistant (CMT), medical technology (MT) or Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic

  • Familiar with the processes and procedures related to health care regulatory agencies

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Technical certification may be required

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Excel or analyst experience

  • Advanced Excel proficiency

  • Experience analyzing large datasets

  • Proficiency in SQL

  • Experience with reporting and data extraction

  • Experience optimizing programs and services

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $52,270.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $79,727.50

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
