Job summary

Fourth is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to be the sole on-site resource for the Denver office, supporting approximately 40 employees. This role centers on hands-on Microsoft Access/VBA development with a SQL Server backend, plus broader systems administration responsibilities.

Primary duties include user account management, on-premise VMware operation, backups, and coordinating with Corporate IT. You will train under the outgoing employee and expand office IT documentation while ensuring

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building or maintaining applications in Microsoft Access, including VBA/module-level development.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server (writing queries, understanding stored procedures).
• Experience being the sole/primary on-site IT resource for a location — able to triage and prioritize independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend the primary business application — an Access front-end (forms, modules, VBA) against a SQL Server back-end.
• Make code changes directly in Access, follow the change process from local dev to test and production.
• Manage role-based application variants and keep them in sync as changes roll out.
• Support and extend integrations between the core application and other business systems (CRM, shipping, payments, tax, e-commerce, and others).
• Administer local user accounts and access; manage VMware on-premises and coordinate with Corporate IT.
• Monitor local backups, perform data restores, and escalate hardware issues as needed.
• Coordinate with corporate IT (EIT) on network, firewall, security, and Azure.
