AdventHealth Denver invites applications for a Surgical Technologist. You will support the operating room team, prepare sterile instruments, maintain aseptic technique, and ensure patient safety during procedures.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and knowledge of regulatory standards. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preferred associate or technical training in Surgical Technology.

Qualifications

• English communication and comprehension required.
• Aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instrumentation knowledge.
• Regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and informs circulating nurse during procedures.
• Maintains high standards for cost savings and containment.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports satisfaction activities and maintains relationships with physicians and staff.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects breaks promptly.
• Identifies environmental concerns and ensures regulatory adherence.
• Supervises team members and assists with orientation and training.
• Promotes safety, handles emergencies, and mitigates hazards.
• Follows infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Participates in quality initiatives and performance improvements.
• Provides assistance to surgical team as needed.
• Assists with turnover times and directs ancillary personnel.
