Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, Colorado is seeking a PRN Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room during daytime procedures. Responsibilities include preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients, maintaining sterility, and supporting turnover times.

Requirements include 2+ years of technical experience, completion of a technical/vocational program (Associate preferred), and BLS with CST certification. ACLS/PALS preferred. Physical stamina and aseptic focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical experience.
• Technical/Vocational School program completed.
• Associate degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Conducts field preparation and maintenance.
• Ensures the operating room is sterile.
• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.
• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times.
• Other duties as assigned.
