Job summary

Parsons in Denver invites you to join our Summer 2027 Highway Engineering Internship program. In this role you will expand your engineering skills through direct mentorship and collaboration with a world-class Infrastructure design team, gaining hands-on experience on real highway projects.

You will work on multiple road projects, learn industry standards, improve CAD and MS Office proficiency, and contribute to specifications, data sheets, and technical reports under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Prior transportation or structural engineering coursework.
• Currently enrolled in pursuit of a Bachelor's and/or Master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Interest and ability to work on multiple road and highway projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• MS Office tools, CAD proficiency (Microstation preferred) and engineering software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative methods for highway engineering problems and select economical solutions.
• Ensure designs meet federal/state/local requirements and industry practices.
• Provide specifications, estimates, data sheets, and analyses.
• Review supplier drawings and perform technical bid analyses.
• Prepare construction documents and data sheets.
• Assist on projects as a design engineer for small to large scale efforts.
