Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roads & Highways Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Denver, CO office. The role includes supporting staff, collaborating with engineers on roadway plan production, and performing drafting tasks using CAD tools.

Applicants should be pursuing a civil engineering degree (60 hours completed) and have proficiency in Microsoft Office with CAD software experience preferred. This internship offers mentorship, experiential learning, and potential pathway to full-time

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support to Roads & Highways Engineering staff.
• Collaborate with engineers on Roadway plan production tasks.
• Perform simple drafting and CAD assignments following detailed instructions.
• Assist in the compilation of design data and the preparation of construction plans.
