Job summary

E.A. Buck is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead people operations, talent strategy, and compliance in a fast-growing financial services environment.

This role partners with the executive team to attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering accountability and a continuous improvement culture. Based in Denver, CO, this full-time, on-site position oversees the HR team, programs, and metrics, and ensures employment law compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 5+ years HR experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and employee relations.
• Experience supporting a growing organization and leading HR initiatives.
• Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
• Background checks/fingerprint checks required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executives to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with company goals, growth plans, and organizational needs.
• Lead and develop the HR team, oversee daily HR operations, and manage the department budget.
• Guide workforce planning, succession planning, organizational development, and change management initiatives.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, employee development, and retention programs.
• Advise managers on employee relations, workplace concerns, investigations, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, leave administration, employee records, HRIS accuracy, and HR reporting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and maintain company HR policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook.
• Track HR metrics, identify opportunities for process improvement, and coordinate special projects as needed.
