Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a licensed dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to inmate patients within the assigned facility. The role requires maintaining accurate records and adhering to security regulations while delivering compassionate care.

The ideal candidate will have graduation from an accredited dental program, a current state license, CPR certification, and at least one year of general dentistry experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of dental medicine.
• One year of experience in general dentistry preferred.
• Must have and maintain current licensure as a dentist in the state of employment.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides dental care and treatment to referred patients in accordance with facility regulations and standards.
• Performs routine cleaning, restorative dentistry, and extractions as needed.
• Evaluates patients' dental care needs and makes clinically appropriate recommendations.
• Takes impressions for dental appliances and instructs patients in good dental hygiene techniques.
• Maintains accurate and confidential patient records and provides in-service training for health staff members.
