Job Description

This position is contingent on contract award and supports a repatriation initiative to provide comprehensive care for migrants awaiting reunification or repatriation. Responsibilities include initial screening, exams, identifying prior conditions, routine, urgent, and emergency care.

We are seeking an experienced Dentist to diagnose and treat oral health issues, perform dental procedures, and educate patients on oral hygiene, ensuring overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct examinations of teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose issues and develop treatment plans.
  • Perform procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
  • Provide preventive care including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and the importance of regular checkups.
  • Diagnose oral diseases and abnormalities, creating appropriate treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide emergency dental care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members.
  • Ensure sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments.
  • Stay updated with advancements in dental technology and practices.

This role may include additional duties as required.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements/Certifications
  • Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the US.
  • Successful completion of the NBDE exams.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Education
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from an ADA or CODA-accredited school.
Physical Requirements
  • Work typically performed in an office environment.
  • Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Bending, stooping, lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Qualifications
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
  • Current MRPT clearance preferred.
Additional Information
