Job summary

Smile Brands is seeking a Team Leader for Merit Dental in Westerville, OH to oversee day-to-day front and back office operations and support treatment planning, while guiding a talented team to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

The role requires organized, people-first leadership with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, plus the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Schedule: Mon-Thu 8am–5pm, Fri 8am–12pm; competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Dental office leadership experience OR senior dental front office experience
• Strong understanding of treatment planning, insurance benefits, and case acceptance processes
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and patient communication
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day front and back office operations, ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional patient experiences
• Provide strong leadership to the front office team, including treatment coordination support and coaching for case acceptance
• Guide and support team members in meeting daily and monthly practice goals
• Ensure accurate scheduling, collections, receivables, and cost management
• Oversee treatment planning workflows and partner with clinical team on financial presentations
• Lead staff training on patient experience, compliance, and office protocols
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture that supports high-quality care
• Maintain office organization, performance metrics, and alignment with Smile Brands policies

We’re searching for a Team Leader to lead our Merit Dental team in Westerville, OH! In this role, you’ll be the heartbeat of the practice—overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting treatment planning, guiding a talented team, and ensuring every patient has an exceptional experience. Schedule (days/hours)

Monday thru Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 12pm

Responsibilities
