Dental Specialty Center - Brandon & Lutz is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team in Brandon and Lutz, FL. The role involves preparing treatment rooms, taking X-rays, and assisting dentists during procedures.

Candidates should have a one-year dental assistant program, relevant on-the-job experience, and X-ray certification. Nitrous Oxide certification is preferred, with a focus on patient education and infection control.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year accredited dental assistant program.
• Six months on-the-job experience with documentation.
• X-ray certification and Nitrous Oxide certification preferred.
• HIPAA/OSHA training as required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
