Job summary

Advanced Dental Care of Temple Terrace in Temple Terrace, FL is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team. You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures. The role includes X-ray tasks, patient education, and maintaining patient records in a team-based practice.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job experience with documentation.
• X-ray certification required.
• Nitrous oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• PatientCare: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling/ intake as needed.
• Assist in emergency management with CPR readiness and needed equipment.
