Job summary

The successful candidate will have a one‑year dental assistant program or equivalent, six months on‑the‑job experience, X‑Ray certification, and Nitrous Oxide certification, plus a high school diploma. We emphasize safety, HIPAA and CPR training, and offer benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• Six months on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation).
• X-Ray certification.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply.

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
