Job summary

Associated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking a Sterilization Technician to maintain a safe, sterile environment in our specialty practice. You will clean, disinfect, and prepare instruments for the clinical team in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow infection-control protocols. You will operate autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners, monitor inventory, and keep the sterilization area organized to support high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures in a clinical environment is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures precisely.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all dental instruments, equipment, and tools in accordance with infection control procedures and regulatory standards.
• Operate sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other tools used for sterilization.
• Ensure sterilization processes are completed efficiently and thoroughly, maintaining accurate records of sterilization cycles and documentation.
• Regularly inspect sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and promptly report any issues for maintenance or repair.
• Follow proper protocols for handling and disposal of contaminated materials, including gloves, gauze, and other medical waste.
• Maintain an organized sterilization area and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked, including disinfectants, sterilizing agents, and packaging materials.
• Monitor inventory levels of sterilization-related supplies and notify the office manager when additional supplies are needed.
