Job summary

MAX Surgical Specialty Management is seeking a Sterilization Technician in East Brunswick, NJ. You will maintain, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments to support oral surgery procedures and keep a safe, sterile environment for patients and staff.

You will work closely with Oral Surgeons and the clinical team, using autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and disinfectants while adhering to safety regulations. High school diploma required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and materials preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety measures.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast – paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in dental software and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Use ultrasonic cleaners, autoclaves, chemical disinfectants, and other sterilization methods to ensure all surgical instruments are properly sanitized.
• Track and manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring everything is clean, sterile, and ready for use.
• Thoroughly clean and disinfect instruments, treatment areas, and equipment before and after each patient procedure.
• Adhere to sterilization protocols and OSHA, CDC, and industry safety regulations.
• Document sterilization processes and maintenance logs.
• Assist in setting up surgical trays, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Monitor and schedule maintenance for sterilization equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Work closely with the clinical and administrative team to ensure seamless workflow and a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
