Job summary

Park West Health System, Inc. is seeking a Dental Sterilization Technician to ensure all instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use.

You will work closely with dentists and dental assistants to maintain aseptic conditions and high-quality care. The role requires adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and internal policies; CPR-BLS certification preferred; prior dental or healthcare experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR-BLS certification required (AHA)
• Experience in dental/healthcare setting preferred.
• Infection control and sterilization practices knowledge preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize instruments and equipment per OSHA standards.
• Complete daily opening, closing, and sterilization procedures.
• Maintain sterilization equipment (autoclaves) and logs.
• Conduct weekly spore testing and document results.
• Prepare operatory rooms for patient care and aseptic conditions.
• Assemble pre-set trays and ensure materials are ready.
• Support clinical staff to maintain patient flow and efficiency.
• Track dental laboratory orders and coordinate with reception.
• Restock supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Maintain cleanliness in lab and sterilization areas.
