Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College ( GTCC ) is seeking an Instructor, Dental Sciences to teach Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene, and to lead curriculum planning and program evaluation.

The position requires a CODA-accredited dental hygiene degree, NC dental hygiene licensure, and a CDA credential. A BLS CPR certification is also required or must be obtained before hire date. GTCC emphasizes an inclusive, collaborative teaching environment with strong student support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required as part of the qualifications.
• CODA-accredited dental hygiene program graduate is required.
• Current unrestricted dental hygiene license in NC is required.
• CDA credential is required.
• BLS CPR certification (AHA) or ability to obtain prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate, and revise the dental programs curriculum.
• Coordinate instructional teams and teach Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene courses.
• Support student success and maintain high instructional quality.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an institutionally accredited college/university

Graduate of a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation

Current unrestricted license to practice as a dental hygienist in North Carolina

Current Certified Dental Assistant credential

Current BLS CPR certification with AHA or ability to obtain before hire
