The 61st Street Service Corporation provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors. This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors’ practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties.

Job Summary:

The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for the front desk administrative duties of a high-volume Dental Faculty Practice.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule appointments; set up new charts for patients in Epic.
  2. Perform pre-registration (i.e., insurance eligibility verification); collect patient copayments.
  3. Answer phones; confirm appointments via phone & email.
  4. Import X-rays from previous Dentist in MiPacs; scan Dental Notes to Epic from previous Dentist.
  5. Send Medical Release Form to patients; process payments.
  6. Answer/resolve billing inquiries.
  7. Send patient messages to providers via Epic Messaging.
  8. Sort mail and invoices.
  9. Prepare patient ADA forms.
  10. Scan paper charts to Epic.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
  2. Minimum 2 years of dental experience in front desk/admin assistant role.
  3. Knowledge of dental terminology and dental practices.
  4. Available to work Saturdays and evening hours.
  5. Understand basic dental coding.

Hourly Rate Ranges: $19.95 - $29.15

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training, and education.
