Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ADA accredited dental assisting course required.
• 1 year dental assisting experience OR 3 years continuous experience required.
• Radiation Safety certification required for positions responsible for dental x-rays.

Responsibilities

• 35% chairside assisting with four handed dentistry for resident providers; update patient information in the EHR.
• 30% set up operatory for dental and surgical procedures; maintain infection control; sterilize instruments; clean and stock operatories.
• 10% acquire or assist in acquiring radiographs (periapical, panoramic, cephalometric, 3-D) per safety standards.
• 10% assist with patient care, including transport and monitoring post-anesthesia; protect patient confidentiality.
• 10% maintain dental supplies/inventory; place orders; manage MSDS notebook; report equipment issues; complete exposure forms.
• 5% assist other clinics and perform related duties as directed by clinic manager.
