Job summary

Metropolitan Endodontics is seeking a Part Time Dental Patient Relations Coordinator to help patients move forward with recommended treatment by providing proactive follow-up, coordinating care, and serving as a trusted resource throughout their treatment journey.

You'll work closely with doctors and clinical teams, answer basic treatment questions, assist with scheduling, coordinate medical clearances, and help remove barriers to timely care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service, healthcare, scheduling or patient-facing experience.
• Dental office experience preferred.
• Call center or patient outreach experience.

Responsibilities

• Review reports of patients with diagnosed but unscheduled treatment.
• Contact patients by telephone, email, text or other approved methods.
• Make appropriate changes in practice management software in patient’s chart and on schedule.
• Follow up with patients that have not cancelled or failed to schedule appointments.
• Contact patients or referring dentists when waiting on medical clearances.
• Maintain a professional, healthcare centered approach during interactions.
• Schedule existing patient appointments.
• Coordinate treatment appointments across multiple locations.
• Maintain waitlists and call back lists.
• Coordinate with front office teams for continuity of patient care.
• Document all patient interactions in practice management software.
• Discuss approved payment options and insurance participation.
• Build trust and rapport with patients through professional communication.
• Demonstrate genuine concern for patient health and wellbeing.
• Support practice initiatives to improve patient care and treatment acceptance.
• Collaborate effectively with doctors, clinical teams and administrators.
• Contribute to a positive team culture.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
