Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is seeking a Dental Supervisor to oversee Dental Assistants and Receptionists across multiple sites. You will lead operations, coach staff, manage schedules, and coordinate coverage to ensure quality patient care and efficient service delivery.

The role requires a California RDA license or DA certificate, a qualifying dental assisting program, and 2 years of supervisory experience. Bilingual ability and strong leadership are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid RDA California License or DA Certificate required.
• Completed Dental Assisting program from an Accredited College.
• Lifesaving Certification and valid Driver's License required.
• Two years supervisory/management experience in dental setting preferred.
• Knowledge of dental insurances and billing preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Knowledge of community health centers mission and role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Dental Assistants and Dental Receptionists across sites.
• Proactively manages provider appointment schedules and templates.
• Provide coaching, training, and staff development.
• Assist with recruitment and hiring for dental staff.
• Ensure DA/RDA functions are performed and provide coverage as needed.
• Coordinate staffing to ensure quality care and patient flow.
• Perform site audits/visits and ensure data entry accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Lead meetings and participate in department activities.
