The Lieutenant Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the dental office when the Regional Leader is not on-site. This role serves as a key leader within the practice, overseeing daily operations, financial performance, team development, patient experience, and office compliance.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dental office, ensuring a professional, efficient, and welcoming environment.
Lead and supervise the office team, including scheduling, patient flow, office organization, cleanliness, and overall productivity.
Open and close the office daily and ensure the building and surrounding property are maintained to a high standard.
Monitor office supplies and ensure adequate inventory is maintained.
Supervise the on-site laboratory, including quality of work, production, maintenance, and cleanliness.
Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall office performance.
Champion an exceptional patient experience and foster a culture focused on “delighting the patient.”
Ensure patients receive friendly, efficient, professional, and compassionate care throughout their experience.
Assist with or conduct patient consultations as needed.
Address and resolve patient concerns and complaints promptly, professionally, and with a patient-first approach.
Promote a positive office environment that reflects the organization's commitment to exceptional service.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding office team members.
Ensure employees receive appropriate training and have the knowledge and resources necessary to succeed in their roles.
Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to team members.
Hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, conduct, and adherence to company standards.
Administer disciplinary action when appropriate and in accordance with company policies.
Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team culture.
Motivate team members to consistently deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Monitor daily office revenue and ensure reports are accurate and submitted on time.
Ensure daily bank deposits are completed accurately and timely.
Monitor office expenses, including payroll, dental supplies, and advertising.
Submit invoices to Accounting on a weekly basis.
Manage petty cash and complete required reporting.
Submit accurate payroll information for all office team members in a timely manner.
Monitor office performance and financial results, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, patient record requirements, and other applicable regulations and company policies.
Ensure patient charts and required documentation are complete, accurate, and maintained appropriately.
Promote a culture of compliance, safety, professionalism, and accountability throughout the office.
Partner with the Regional Leader to address compliance concerns and ensure appropriate corrective action when needed.
Maintain open and effective communication with doctors, the Regional Leader, and senior management.
Keep leadership informed of key office activities, challenges, opportunities, and successes.
Partner effectively across departments and areas of the business to achieve operational and performance goals.
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, employees, providers, and leadership.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in a dental, healthcare, medical, or customer-focused environment is a plus.
