Description du poste

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Dental Laboratory Manager/Technician to oversee the day-to-day operations of a modern, digitally driven dental laboratory in the Atlanta area. Learn more about usHERE! The lab is affiliated with Atlanta Dental Spa and functions as an in-house lab for our five locations. We also take select outside clients and are always growing and adding more, but this is primarily a position where you will be in close contact and communication with our team, as opposed to a larger lab dealing with numerous clients you aren't very familiar with.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who combines strong dental laboratory knowledge with technical aptitude, organization, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication. Because we are a small, growing laboratory, the ideal candidate will be comfortable both managing operations and stepping in wherever needed to keep cases moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily laboratory operations, production schedules, case flow, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Triage incoming cases and coordinate multiple projects and communication channels simultaneously.
  • Lead, train, mentor, and coordinate laboratory technicians and support staff.
  • Establish and maintain efficient, standardized laboratory workflows.
  • Review prescriptions, scans, clinical specifications, and laboratory instructions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate directly with dentists regarding case design, materials, aesthetics, preparation requirements, limitations, and potential complications.
  • Coordinate with external design teams, vendors, and other laboratory partners.
  • Maintain high quality standards, including fit, margins, contacts, occlusion, shade, function, and overall restoration quality.
  • Troubleshoot scanning, milling, printing, software, equipment, and production issues.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement practical workflow improvements.
  • Manage supplies, inventory, purchasing, and procurement, and identify opportunities to control costs.
  • Assist with shipping, deliveries, supply runs, and other operational needs when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in dental laboratory operations, management, or senior-level laboratory production.
  • Strong understanding of dental laboratory workflow and case processing.
  • Experience with a broad range of restorations and appliances, including some combination of:
    • Full‑arch hybrid restorations
    • Implant restorations
    • Crowns, bridges, and veneers
    • Dentures
    • Nightguards and retainers
    • Aligners
  • Working knowledge of dental materials including zirconia, lithium disilicate/e.max, PMMA, acrylics, composites, and related materials.
  • Experience with digital dental workflows including intraoral scans, CAD/CAM, 4‑ and 5‑axis milling, 3D printing, and digital case submission.
  • Familiarity with platforms and software such as 3Shape, exocad, iTero, MillBox, HyperDENT, and/or similar systems.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and production problems.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Windows, Google Workspace, laboratory management software, and digital case‑management systems.
  • Experience supervising, training, or mentoring laboratory personnel is preferred.
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone exceptionally organized and able to keep many moving pieces under control. The right person will have strong time-management and case‑triage skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently without constant oversight. You should also be:

  • A confident leader and collaborative team player
  • Skilled at conflict resolution and personnel management
  • Detail-oriented with high standards for quality
  • Resourceful, mechanically inclined, and comfortable troubleshooting problems
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Strong in customer service and relationship management
  • Willing to jump in wherever needed to keep the laboratory running smoothly
Benefits
  • Minimum salary of $65,000 (this can vary with expertise and experience) - The lab is growing, and if you help the lab grow, the salary can reflect that
