We are excited to announce a full-time opening for a dedicated and skilled Dental Laboratory Manager at our facility. This position is crucial for maintaining our reputation for high-quality dental restorations. It should be noted that this position is not remote and will require on-site presence at our location at 9212 Fry Road, Cypress, TX 77433.

The role of the Dental Laboratory Manager involves overseeing the laboratory's operations, managing a team of talented technicians, and ensuring the output of precision-crafted prosthetics. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in prosthodontics, experienced in managing digital dental laboratory environments, and passionate about the integration of new technologies in dental practices.

Job Description

The primary role of the Dental Laboratory Manager is to direct and manage all aspects of the dental laboratory operations. This includes the supervision of dental technicians and all related laboratory staff as well as ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. The successful candidate will report directly to the clinical director and will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution of laboratory tasks. The laboratory sets a high standard in utilizing advanced CAD/CAM technologies in the creation of dental prosthetics; therefore, proficiency in these areas is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the laboratory's daily operations and technician team ensuring high efficiency and productivity.
  • Direct the production flow of dental devices, ensuring each piece adheres to our strict quality guidelines.
  • Coordinate with dental technicians to discuss dental cases and collaborate on treatment plans.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures, ensuring consistency and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of laboratory materials and equipment, safeguarding against operational delays.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all dental prostheses fabricated in the lab.
  • Develop training programs for laboratory staff, focusing on both technical skills and professional development.
  • Regularly assess and introduce new technologies and processes to maintain and enhance laboratory standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate service agreements and manage contracts effectively.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations within the laboratory environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Dental Technology or related field required.
  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) credential is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a dental laboratory setting with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Expertise in CAD/CAM technology, digital dentistry, and dental materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a dental technician team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and other stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges and changes in the dental industry.
