The UCLA School of Dentistry is seeking a Lab Technician to support the DDS student laboratory, overseeing more than 100 student workstations and ensuring equipment, instruments, and supplies are properly maintained and available to support student learning.

Working closely with the Director of Student Labs, the incumbent will help manage the daily operations of the laboratory and ensure a safe, efficient, and productive learning environment for students and faculty.

Qualifications

• Experience working with dental materials, equipment and instruments.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and communicate issues.
• Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
• Strong organization and attention to detail; maintain neat files and supplies.
• Ability to work with a diverse community of faculty, staff, students, and vendors.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages).
• Ability to work independently and with other sections.
• Adapt to changing environments and lab noises.
• Stock assessment to ensure continuous availability of supplies.
• Organize work activities, policies and procedures clearly.
• Proficient with PC software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint).
• Consistent and reliable attendance.
