Job summary

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry is seeking applicants for an Advanced Digital Dental Laboratory Manager. This full-time supervisory position will provide oversight for an in-house digital dental lab in support of the predoctoral educational program, advanced educational programs and faculty dental practice.

This role includes complex digital laboratory technician assignments, coordinating a digital dentistry workflow, overseeing the work of other dental laboratory technicians,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with digital workflows in dental laboratory settings.
• Knowledge of fabrication and repair of dental prostheses using digital methods.
• Ability to train staff and oversee a team of dental laboratory technicians.

Responsibilities

• Oversee in-house production for digital dental services in education and practice.
• Coordinate a digital dentistry workflow and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Supervise and evaluate dental laboratory technicians.
• Provide training on techniques to fabricate and repair dental appliances.
• Maintain digital equipment and supplies; organize maintenance schedules.
• Assist faculty and residents in digitally designed/restorations.
