Job summary

UCLA School of Dentistry in Los Angeles is seeking a Lab Technician to support operations in the DDS student laboratory. The incumbent will oversee more than 100 student workstations, ensuring that all equipment, instruments, and supplies are properly maintained and available to support student learning.

Reporting to the Director of Student Labs, you will help manage daily lab operations, promote a safe and efficient learning environment, and coordinate with faculty and vendors to ensure timely

Qualifications

• Experience with dental materials, equipment and instruments.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and communicate issues.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a diverse community of faculty, staff, students and vendors.
• Basic math computations (add/subtract/multiply/divide/fractions/percent).
• Ability to work independently and with other sections.
• Adaptability to changing environments and noises in the lab.
• Ability to manage stock and determine ordering needs for continuity.
• Ability to organize activities, policies and procedures clearly.
• Strong computer skills with MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Access/PowerPoint and databases.
• Reliable attendance across shifts.
