Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited two-year dental laboratory technology program.
• Minimum five (5) years experience as Dental Technician.
• Minimum one (1) year teaching laboratory dental technology.

Responsibilities

• Support preclinical courses in the Department of Clinical Oral Healthcare through active participation in laboratory exercises.
• Provide instructional material (lectures) to students on laboratory procedures and management.
• Produce and maintain training aids; coordinate the fabrication of stone cast for the preclinical courses.
• Provide logistic support in preclinical classes.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance of all clinical cases entering and leaving the professional services laboratory; coordinate laboratory quality control.
• Maintain material safety data sheet/binder; update the Environmental Health & Safety Specialist as needed.
• Aid students in troubleshooting clinical cases.
• Maintain accurate quality control records and provide an annual report.
