Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Dental Assistant and X-ray certification where required by state.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate patient care.
• 1+ year of dental assisting experience (preferred).
• Experience with dentures, removable prosthetics, or dental implants (preferred).
• Experience taking denture impressions and wax bites (preferred).
• Experience with oral surgery and extractions (preferred).
• Experience with prosthodontic procedures (preferred).
• Familiarity with dental practice management software and electronic records (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support and ensure a welcoming patient experience.
• Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials for each appointment.
• Assist dentists during denture procedures, implants, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments.
• Take alginate denture impressions, select trays, and prepare wax bites as directed.
• Assist with denture insertions, relines, repairs, and expanded duties where allowed.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implants, post-op care, and finances.
• Document patient histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
• Take dental radiographs in accordance with state certification requirements.
• Maintain infection control standards and sterilize instruments and operatories.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
• Support daily office operations and maintain a clean clinical environment.
• Travel occasionally for training and continuing education.
