Cambridge Smiles is seeking a registered dental hygienist to join our growing, small-office team in Cambridge, MA. We focus on quality patient care and a collaborative environment, not a factory setting.

You will perform x-rays, patient education, periodontal screening, fluoride application, and infection control. MA licensure, CPR, and a dental hygiene degree are required; associate’s degree required, bachelor’s/master’s preferred. Salary is competitive at $55–$63/hour.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina to stand for up to eight hours.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in dental hygiene preferred; associate’s degree required.
• Certified to perform CPR.
• Licensed dental hygienist in the state of the job.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patients’ teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues
• Educate patients of all ages on how to take care of their teeth through good flossing and brushing twice daily
• Look for signs of gum disease, infections, or cavities to ensure issues are caught early and can be treated
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride or other sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay
• Sterilize all dental equipment to make sure everything is properly cleaned
